Tile roofs are known to be a good choice for solar panels to generate electricity. A well-installed clay or concrete tile roof can last 50 or even 100 years, more than solar panels (usually 25 years). So no need to worry about having to pay for solar panels to solve the roof replacement problem.
There are many ways to install solar panels on tile roofs. The most common method is to install the solar bracket system by installing stainless steel hooks under the tiles. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Inspection and measurement before installation
An installer will assess your roof remotely or in person and determine the best installation location based on available space, spacing and orientation. The installer will take measurements to decide where to fasten the bracket and rail system. After evaluating the roof, also determine the location of the inverter and wiring.
2. Remove the tiles
Once the installation location is determined, specific tiles will be removed in preparation for the installation of the mounting brackets.
3. Install the stainless steel hook
After ensuring the correct spacing and size, the installer will attach the stainless steel hooks to the rafters. After securing the stainless steel hooks, put the removed tiles back in their original positions.
4. Install the rail bracket
Install the rails to the hooks, the rails are not long enough to connect using rail connectors.
5. Install the panel
Place the panel on the rails and secure with the side and middle clips.
6. Install the inverter and wiring
The
solar panel tile roof mounting system uses rails and hooks to secure the solar system to the roof frame.
According to the shape of the tile roof, there are Roman tile, asphalt tile and tile roof, different shapes should choose different stainless steel hook sets. Wintop has designed corresponding
