Wintop 2023 year-end trip - Xi'an, the ancient capital with thousands of years history
2023 is coming to an end. In order to enrich the cultural life of employees and enhance the core strength of the team, Xiamen Wintop specially held a five-day team-building activity. This time we went to Xi'an, known as the ancient capital for thousands of years.
First, let’s get to know Xi’an. Xi'an is a "World Historic City" identified by UNESCO in 1981. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, and the starting point of the Silk Road. Historically, 13 dynasties have established their capitals here. Xi'an is a world-famous historical city, as famous as the world-famous ancient cities such as Rome, Athens, and Cairo. It is also the one with the longest history among the six ancient capitals in China. Two six heritage sites in Xi'an are included in the World Heritage List, namely: Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum and Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Daming Palace ruins in Tang Chang'an City, Weiyang Palace ruins in Han Chang'an City, and Xingjiao Temple Pagoda. There are also Qianling Mausoleum, Xi'an City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower, Huaqing Pool, Huashan Mountain, Zhongnan Mountain, Tang Furong Garden, Shaanxi History Museum, Forest of Steles and other attractions. Next, let us walk into Xi'an and uncover the secrets of this thousand-year-old ancient capital...
The Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum: Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. There are more than 8,000 terracotta warriors and horses. Each terracotta warrior is a warrior who once went into battle to kill the enemy. Each of them is a perfect 1:1 replica of a real person, and each one has a different face. Take our breath away.
"The Everlasting City of the Tang Dynasty": This commercial pedestrian street imitating the Tang Dynasty fully demonstrates the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Located in the Da Ci'en Temple in Jinchangfang, Chang'an City, Tang Dynasty (now south of Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province), it is also known as the "Ci'en Temple Pagoda". In the third year of Yonghui of the Tang Dynasty (652), Xuanzang presided over the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in order to preserve the Buddhist scriptures and statues brought back to Chang'an from Tianzhu via the Silk Road. It initially had five floors, and was later added to nine floors, with countless more floors and heights. After several changes, it was finally fixed to the seven-story tower that we saw, with a total height of 64.517 meters and a side length of the bottom floor of 25.5 meters.
Xi'an Eternal Scenery Area: Taking the story of a Chinese girl who returned to China to find her roots as the main line, it leads tourists to explore national memory. Through the magical time shuttle, we will truly feel the style of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties. Tens of thousands of machines and equipment were in operation, 3,000 tons of flood poured down, and hundreds of cubic meters of yellow sand rushed towards our faces, as if we were in the torrent of history. This immersive time-travel journey makes people feel as if they have traveled through time and space, feeling the shock and emotion of thousands of years of history.
Huashan: Huashan, known as "Xiyue" in ancient times and "Taihua Mountain" in elegance, is one of the Five Mountains. It is located in Huayin City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Since ancient times, it has been said to be "the most dangerous mountain in the world". The "Hua" of China originates from Huashan, so Huashan is known as the "root of China". The scenery of Huashan Mountain is breathtaking.
After this trip to Xi'an, we got to know Xi'an, a thousand-year-old ancient capital, and there are many scenic spots that we didn't have time to visit. We look forward to meeting again.
